Custom Jewelry Design

Typically, your custom piece will be in your hands within 4 weeks after we’ve finalized your design. However, because each jewelry project is unique, the time it takes to complete your project may vary. Here’s a rough breakdown of how long each part of our process takes:

Design: We are here to hear your desires as we collectively complete your vision:) 

When it comes to creating your jewelry design, Sullivan’s is available at your pace. It works well to set up an initial appointment on the phone, via zoom, or in person. Now the fun begins! This is where playful colors, metals, textures, and patterns take the center stage. Matte or polished? Silver, gold, or platinum? Bezel or prongs? Genuine or lab grown? Let your imagination run wild as Sullivan’s hones in on your ideal preferences. We ask you to put your trust in us as we guide you in the right direction. With every decision made, our goal is to ensure the end result will collectively create a cohesive and appealing look.

Production: Approximately 3-5 weeks

Once you’ve approved the model we create, we’ll cast, polish, and set your design, finishing all the details by hand. Once your jewelry passes our quality control process, we’ll let you know its ready. You can pick it up or we can ship it to you.

Shipping: 1-5 days with signature required.

We offer shipping within the US via FedEx or UPS.

At Sullivan’s Jewelers, our prices are not set in stone. After you find an inspiration design to base the overall concept on, the real magic begins. We have a formula for pricing that varies depending on two factors:

1. If the concept will be a one-of-a-kind creation in a CAD format, then there is an initial $600 design fee that covers most finetune changes.
2. If modifications to an existing design are possible, then the design fee starts at $300.

From there, we will give you an estimated breakdown for the casting and labor, including finishing and setting.  If you are interested, we can price your jewelry design in various metals and gemstones to give you price point options.

If you’re purchasing jewelry that you want to last a lifetime, like an engagement ring, anniversary gift, or family heirloom, then count on us to share in the celebration for roughly the price of a design that’s been mass-produced.

Sullivan’s Jewelers design process starts with a personalized appointment and FREE estimate. The accomplished art of jewelry design is rich with history in the Sullivan family heritage. Elevating family jewelry collections for generations is our mission. Whether you are resetting jewelry to create a restyle design or making a new piece for your collection, there’s no charge to discuss your design and price out options with our team. We request a deposit prior to producing 3D CAD models and renderings of your design. Your initial deposit goes toward the final cost of producing your customized jewelry. Once the CAD rendering is complete, you will be contacted to view it. 

Sullivan’s Jewelers will cover manufacturing defects in the metal of your jewelry for up to 1 year from the purchase date. This guarantee on our our workmanship takes responsibility for any structural defects. Getting your jewelry professionally inspected at least twice per year at Sullivan’s Jewelers is necessary for the warranty coverage.
